Street Seen: Bargainista with a fabulous ring

Walnut Creek shopper Alyson McNeilly kicks off our brand-new, semi-regular feature of stopping a shopper on the street for style tips.

Greetings Stylistas! Today I had a chance to do something I've been wanting to do forever—stop a shopper on the street, ask for some style tips, and post the profile here at Diablomag.com.

The Shopper: I ran into our debut Shopper on the Street at Footcandy in Walnut Creek. Alyson McNeilly was browsing the boots in the back of this chic shoe shop (and 2009 Best of the East Bay readers' pick for place to buy women's shoes), while her girlfriend was looking for wedding shoes.

The Outfit: McNeilly looks darling in her short dress from White House Black Market, Forever 21 shoes, and H&M bag.

Where She Shops: This was McNeilly's first time inside Footcandy, but the San Francisco resident frequents Walnut Creek as a shopping destination. A flight attendant for United Airlines, McNeilly's line of work also allows her to browse boutiques in Paris.

Fashion Philosophy: "Usually, I look for bargains," she says. "But once a year, I'll buy myself a pricey item—which I'll wear all year long. Last year it was this Swarovski cocktail ring."
