A&E auctioning off an autographed pair of Oakland-native MC Hammer's trademark gold hammer pants.

Cocktail parties would be a lot more interesting if everyone had to wear pants—autographed, gold, MC Hammer pants. Now we all have a chance to be the life of party, because the A&E channel (which airs Hammertime, the new reality TV show starring the Oakland-raised hip hop star and his family) is auctioning off this piece of 90's fashion history on their website.

There are a few other items of MC Hammer memorabilia being auctioned off as well, but there’s just one pair of pants for sale—meaning only one person can be "too legit to quit."
