Beauty for a Cause
Fundraiser at Plesanton's Euphoria nail salon this Thursday and Friday to benefit Tri-Valley cancer patients.
Alternative holistic medicine was the most effective method of easing pain for dual cancer survivor and Pleasanton resident Sandra J. Wing. Years later, Wing has started her own foundation which helps Tri-Valley cancer patients afford holistic treatments not typically covered by insurance. Treatments such as acupuncture, deep breathing meditation, and massage help to alleviate the pain, stress and fatigue often caused by traditional cancer treatments of chemo and radiation therapy.
On Thursday May 7th, 5–10 p.m. and Friday May 8th, 5–8 p.m., Euphoria Nail and Body Bar in Downtown Pleasanton will host a fundraiser benefiting the Healing Therapies Foundation. This two day event will feature a wine reception, hand crafted jewelry, apparel, and gourmet treats. 25% of all sales will go directly to Healing Therapies Foundation, as well as 25% of proceeds from Euphoria Nail and Body Bar services such as manicures, pedicures, mini-facials, waxings, and airbrush tanning services.
Wing emphasizes that donations go towards immediately trying to alleviate the pain of a cancer patient, and that patients benefiting are our own East Bay and Tri-Valley neighbors.
