Danville's Boutique Blitz is a must for frugal fashionistas
Saturday, October 10 is a shopper's Mecca on Hartz Avenue.
Looking for a great sale? Here's 10 – all under one roof.
This Saturday, Danville’s Veterans Hall will play host to a variety of merchandise stalls from East Bay boutiques, all with markdowns from 30-75%.
The event is being spearheaded by Edge for Men’s shop owner Todd Weinberg, whose participation in last year’s Blue Dot Boutique Sale in San Francisco inspired him to bring the event to this side of the bay. “It’s a neat opportunity to shop at [all] the boutiques,” said Weinberg – and save money while doing it. Local DJ Darrell Olling will be providing the musical atmosphere, spinning anything from the 1930s-40s through today’s hits.
Entry is free, but each shopper will be required to fill out a customer information card at the door, where they will also receive a free raffle ticket. Raffles will be held every 30 minutes throughout the day, and prizes will include bags of merchandise from each boutique valued at $100-150.
In addition to great bargains on summer wear and assorted denim, check out these 10 participating boutique stalls for new products and other sweet deals:
- Olive, an eco-friendly fashion stop for organic cotton panties and tees, Kelly B bathing suits, and menswear.
- Ella J., featuring designer denim and savings on new winter wear.
- Flaunt, a stylish spot for Citizen jeans, chic jewelry and yummy scented candles.
- KRV, for skate, surf and snowboard wear for all seasons – think dresses, jackets, scarves and sweaters. Plus, they’ll be raffling off a skateboard.
- Edge Shop for Men, who will be launching their new line of organic Edge Artesan Soaps for Men – and shaving creams – made out of goat’s milk. They’ll also have a rack full of new merchandise to give shoppers a taste of this season’s trends.
- Diva, for hip belts and jewelry for all occasions.
- Original Sin, featuring discounts on lingerie, summer PJs, and cami/panty sets.
- Christina’s Fine Women’s Clothing, for jackets and tops, plus handbags, scarves and hats.
- OrgHipChick, a trendy spot featuring everything from bathing suits and denim to shoes and accessories.
- Stork’s Nest, your best bet for end-of-season maternity wear, baby clothes for boys and girls, as well as baby gifts and knick-knacks.
It’s good shopping fun for the whole family.
