Changes Salon & Day Spa turns 25

Walnut Creek business celebrating with events throughout October, including makeup demonstration this Thursday.

Walnut Creek’s Changes Salon and Day Spa is celebrating 25 years of business with specials and events throughout the month of October. And in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, proceeds from all event tickets will be donated to The Wellness Community, a non-profit that provides education and support for people dealing with cancer.

All events will feature visits from various artists and experts in the beauty industry:

• October 1, 6–8 p.m. Aldo Celeste of gloMinerals Makeup will be at the salon.
• October 5, 7 p.m. LeeAnn Day, R.N., will share tips to reduce signs of aging. 
• October 19, 7 p.m. Former Diablo magazine fashion editor Carolyn Rovner will discuss women’s fall trends.
• October 26, 7 p.m. Millennium Restaurant Chef Stephanie Roston R.D. will give a talk about healthy vegetarian meals. 

Also, be sure to look for client appreciation evenings throughout the month. The first will be held October 8th from 4:00 to 8:30 p.m. Clients that visit the salon will receive free gifts, a spray tan demo, and free earrings with a $75 purchase of Bella Ella product. And don't forget to nominate someone for the salon's Deserves Changes competition, in which the winner receives $1,000 worth of hair, makeup, and massage treatments.
