Iconic Beethoven

9/14-9/15 The California Symphony visits Walnut Creek’s Lesher Center for the Arts to perform Beethoven’s iconic “Symphony No. 5” alongside his only full-length ballet and a song cycle by Mahler. Avril Lavigne: Head Above Water Tour

9/17 The Fox Theater in Oakland welcomes Grammy-nominated “Girlfriend” singer Avril Lavigne, who is touring for her latest album, Head Above Water. The record, released in February, is her first in more than five years. thefoxoakland.com.
