If you're looking for that one-of-a-kind art piece, the American Craft Show in San Francisco offers the work of 250 skilled artisans from all over the country. Their media range from intricate fiber art to metal sculpture, blown glass, and more. Keep an eye out for Walnut Creek’s Lesley Cantor Fallihee, who weaves baskets into striking organic shapes. Christina Goodman, of Berkeley, will showcase her hand-painted miniatures (pictured). This year’s show also features a new Craft 4 Kids section, with art designed just for the little ones. The 32nd annual American Craft Show will be held at the Fort Mason Center August 10 to 12 and is open to the public for a $12 admission fee. For information, visit www.craftcouncil.org or call (800) 836-3470.
