O’ My Sole at Danville’s Rose Garden is delighting shoe fetishists. Like its Claremont location, this O’ My Sole features fashionable and comfortable footwear by Clarks, Frye, and Ugg. Danville’s Geoffrey Scott boutique on Hartz Avenue, purveyor of custom fine jewelry and accessories, has undergone a miniremodel to showcase upscale handbags (see picture) by Kooba, Hayden-Harnett, Andarei, and Bryna Nicole. Geoffrey Scott may open a second location at Walnut Creek’s Plaza Escuela in spring 2009.
Loot has moved to 3598 Mt. Diablo Boulevard in Lafayette from Oakland’s College Avenue. The shop offers an eclectic but upscale collection of antique furniture, and classes on flower arrangement.
Oklahoma transplant Sherri McMullen, former buyer for Pottery Barn Kids and Neiman Marcus, has opened McMullen at 4395 Piedmont Avenue in Oakland. The high-end boutique carries jewelry, handbags, and night-on-the-town fashions by designers Diane von Furstenberg, Catherine Malandrino, Malene Birger, and Rory Beca. In addition to offering in-store personal shopping services, McMullen will make house calls to help you fine-tune your wardrobe.
